A season worth remembering

Gentle maternity photos, taken slowly

Pregnancy passes in a blur of appointments, preparations and quiet wondering. A maternity session is a pause in all of that: an evening to feel beautiful, to be close to the people you love, and to remember how this season felt.

My sessions are calm and gently guided. There is no rushing and no awkward posing. We walk, we rest when you need to, and I photograph the small moments: a hand on your belly, a partner’s arms around you, a child pressing an ear to listen.

Where and when

Beach maternity sessions

Timing: most mums love their sessions between about 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is lovely and you still feel comfortable.

Places: quiet stretches of beach and dunes in St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis, Jeffreys Bay or Oyster Bay, or a meaningful place of your own.

Light: the last hour before sunset, for soft, warm light that is kind to everyone.

Comfort first: bring water, a snack and comfortable shoes for walking. We take breaks whenever you need them.

Every maternity session is shaped around you, whether that is the waves and coastal rocks of our coastline, a golden field at sunset, or the horse you love standing beside you.

Maternity photoshoot questions

When is the best time for a maternity photoshoot?

Most mums book between about 28 and 34 weeks. Book early so we can move the date if you need to rest.

How much does a maternity photoshoot cost?

A maternity session for just Mum and Dad is R1,750. If your children are joining you, the session is R2,500. See my prices and FAQ page for all session fees.

What should I wear?

Soft, flowing dresses in natural colours such as cream, sand, sage or dusty blue look beautiful on the beach. Fitted styles that show your bump work well. I will send a short guide when you book.

Can my partner and children join?

Yes. A session for just Mum and Dad is R1,750, and if your children are joining you the session is R2,500.

Do you have a studio?

I do not work from a studio. Sessions take place outdoors on the beach, along the coast or at a place that is meaningful to you, anywhere from Jeffreys Bay to St Francis Bay, Cape St Francis, Oyster Bay and the Tsitsikamma.

Do you travel for maternity sessions?

Travel within my free-travel service area is included. Sessions further afield are charged at R6.50 per km.

When will I receive my maternity photos?

Your hand-edited gallery arrives within 30 days of your session.

How do I book my session?
